Kirsty Shadiac

Kirsty is passionate about inspiring creativity in children and nurturing young artistic minds while continuing to grow her own practice as an artist.

She began her teaching journey in 2007 with "Kirsty’s Kids Art" in Paddington, Sydney. After returning to Adelaide in 2010, she expanded her work by running kids’ art classes in North Adelaide. Drawing on her experience in schools—including supporting children with intellectual disabilities and behavioural challenges—Kirsty focused on creating safe, welcoming spaces where all children can thrive artistically.

Kirsty’s own artwork has been featured in multiple exhibitions, and in 2010 she was awarded the SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival Young Emerging Artist Award. She has also led numerous Artist in Residence programs in South Australian primary schools, experiences that helped shape her next big step: creating Artventure, an online platform for kids’ art education. Artventure supports teachers, home educators, and parents with a rich library of video art lessons aligned with the Australian National Curriculum—perfect for nurturing creativity anytime, anywhere.
